Learn to use Word dictate feature on Mac

  1. First up you need to turn on the microphone. 
  2. Select the preferred language with which you will dictate Word to write the given command.
  3. To select the preferred language, use the drop-down menu.
  4. Make the necessary changes in the settings of your microphone or the device’s audio function.

To start the dictation,

  1. First of all, you need to launch your Word application on your Apple device.
  2. If you do not have it, then you may download it via the Apple App Store.
  3. After that, select the ‘Home’ button.
  4. Further, click on the ‘Dictate’ option.
  5. Now, you will see its icon on the ribbon. 
  6. Then, click on its icon and wait for a couple of seconds.

Make sure to pronounce the words clearly in order to avoid any writing mistakes. To add any punctuation mark, you may either use the keyboard or speak the name of it.
